BMW 4 Series Car Insurance
If you’re the proud owner of a BMW, you’re no stranger to paying a high price for the finer things in life. For better or worse, your auto insurance premiums aren’t going to be much different.
However, there are some ways here and there to save what you can so that you can rule the road not just surrounded by luxury, but with the peace of mind that you’ll be protected if anything goes wrong.
A Brief History of the BMW 4 Series
The BMW 4 Series came about back in 2013. It was a spinoff of the BMW 3 Series, after too many different models were crowded under the same label.
In the early years of production, two-door coupes and convertibles (which were previously under the umbrella of the BMW 3 Series) received their own starring role in the BMW 4 Series.
It wasn’t until 2014 that BMW introduced the 4 Series Gran Coupe and aerodynamic fastback vehicle that was appealing to consumers at the time.
BMW 4 Series in the News
For 2018, the BMW 4 series vehicles (especially their convertibles) have received some luxurious makeovers for the interior, advanced safety features, and a subtle yet sleek change to the vehicle’s outward appearance.
Of particular note was the stiffer anti-roll bar that is now standard on BMW 4 Series vehicles. Not only does it give the vehicle better cornering capabilities, but it also introduces new technology which helps with motion control.
Comparing BMW 4 Series Auto Insurance
Your BMW 4 series auto insurance costs will vary depending on where you live. Certain areas, especially affluent ones, get better deals on their monthly premiums because of the low rates of crime, traffic, and the likelihood that you own your own home.
Of course, there are exceptions to every rule. This is why car insurance companies always ask you for your zip code when trying to figure out how much to charge you for your policy – so they know whether or not to charge you a little extra based on the inherently higher risk of your surroundings.

Auto insurance companies are almost like people in that no two are alike. They all evaluate risk differently, the discount portfolio that they offer their customers is rarely ever identical from one company to the next, and each one has its own unique ways of handling the claims their customers file.
But one thing they all have in common is that they all want you as a customer. And the sooner you realize this, the more leverage you will have to negotiate a better rate for yourself.
The amount of coverage you purchase for your vehicle will also have a major influence in determining how expensive your monthly premiums are. The more coverage you purchase, obviously, the more you will have to pay for it.
But if the worst happens, you won’t have to suffer too big of a financial burden. Conversely, purchasing less coverage is obviously cheaper on a monthly basis, but at the same time, it can put you in a difficult position, financially speaking, if you do happen to get into a serious accident.
Have you ever compared quotes for your BMW 4-series car insurance? Or did you just accept the first deal that fell into your lap? If you answered yes to the latter, then you could be paying ridiculous amounts of money for your insurance coverage.
The only way to know for sure, however, is to compare multiple quotes from different companies in your immediate area. And our quote generator can help you do exactly that in a matter of minutes, for free.
