Chevrolet Captiva Car Insurance
Looking for affordable Chevrolet Captiva auto Insurance? Well, lots of people are. But you can be one of the few drivers on the road paying a fair price for your monthly premiums.
We’re going to let you in on some trade secrets that most insurance companies don’t want you to know – and we’ll also help you use that information to get a better rate.
A Brief History of the Chevrolet Captiva
In 2006, after General Motors acquired Daewoo, a South Korean auto manufacturer, it adopted the Chevrolet Captiva (among many other vehicles). Since 2006, this compact crossover SUV has been sold under the Chevy brand.
It’s still in production today, and in addition to North America, it also sells well in Russia, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam, among many other countries.
Chevrolet Captiva in the News
The second generation of the Chevrolet Captiva recently got a makeover for the 2016 production line. It debuted on November 10th of 2015 and received a fairly warm reception.
The newest update improves the look of the grill, includes LED headlamps, improves the bumper, and redesigns the old dashboard. Its decent sales in the North American Market don’t necessarily merit a huge marketing push, but it is aggressively marketed in South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, and even Chinese markets.
Comparing Chevrolet Captiva Auto Insurance
Have you compared auto insurance premiums for your Chevrolet Captiva in your area? Well, if you don’t, how are you supposed to know whether or not the premium you’re paying now is the premium you should be paying?
That’s why it’s so important to compare quotes between different areas – because where you live will definitely have a significant influence on how much you pay each month for coverage.

It would be nice if all insurance companies basically had the same standards when it comes to determining your monthly premiums. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case. This has a lot to do with two things: what sort of risk pool your insurance company is catering to, and how desperate they are for new business.
Certain companies provide coverage to drivers who would be paying a whole lot more per month with most providers because they would be seen as a risky driver.
Furthermore, insurance companies who are desperate for new business may be willing to negotiate a lower rate for you despite whether or not you have a risky profile.
How many claims have you filed in recent history? Usually, insurance companies look about 3 to 5 years into your driving history to see whether or not you have filed any claims, how many claims you filed, how expensive they were, and whether or not they were honored by your previous/current insurance provider.
As we’re sure you can guess, the more claims you have filed, and the more expensive they were, the more likely you will be to pay a higher monthly premium in the future. As time passes, these claims will fade from your record and you will be eligible for lower monthly premiums.
In the meantime, though, you need to be searching for a company that is willing to be more lenient when it comes to ensuring drivers with a lengthy claim filing history.
Many of the things we’ve talked about so far – your location, your current insurance provider, your claims history, and more – are things that will make a big difference in your monthly auto insurance premiums if you can find a way to change them in your favor.
Unfortunately, even if you could, most of these would take time to change.
But you don’t have to wait that long to get a better price and your monthly auto insurance costs. And we can show you how if you just enter your zip code into our FREE quote tool.
