Dodge Avenger Car Insurance
Sadly, no, we’re not talking about a joint marketing venture between Dodge’s sedan department and Marvel Studios. We’re talking about the Dodge Avenger, which was declining in popularity shortly before superhero movie profits were even a twinkle in most movie studios’ eyes.
If you happen to still own an Avenger, and you plan on driving it around for a little longer, you’re naturally going to need to carry auto insurance coverage for it.
But you shouldn’t have to pay the highest rate out there. We’ll be happy to help you find a more affordable price for your coverage, as well as teach you the ins and outs of affordable Dodge Avenger auto insurance policies.
A Brief History of the Dodge Avenger
Since the Dodge Avenger was only recently discontinued in 2014, odds are good that there are still thousands of them on the road today.
Production originally started back in the mid-90s, and lasted until a production pause between 2000 and 2007. With the Revival of the 2008 model also came the loss of the Dodge Stratus, the placeholder of the Avenger during the production pause.
This reimagining of the Avenger sedan came with a few minor bells and whistles which other cars didn’t possess at the time, such as temperature-controlled cup holders and a Chill Zone in the glove box for keeping soft drinks, juices, or water at a delightfully chill 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
A nearly 50 percent sales decrease between the 2013 and 2014 models immediately precipitated the discontinuation of the Dodge Avenger, along with the Chrysler 200.
Dodge Avenger in the News
Back in 2013, no doubt as an attempt to spur sales, the Avenger was included with other models that received a blacktop special edition makeover.
Of course, you could also buy the original sedan as-was, but the blacktop special edition featured a black trim (although you could order the main body paint to be either black, white, red, silver, or tungsten), 18″ wheels, power seats, fog lights, and automatic headlights.
Drivers who wanted an upgraded package had their choice of heated leather seats, navigation system controls, and a V6 engine.
Unfortunately, this last ditch effort to make the vehicle more attractive to consumers failed to stand up against the negative press associated with its various recalls. Back in 2016, Dodge recalled the 2010 through 2014 Avenger models due to faulty airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners.
But those aren’t the only recalls for the Avenger.
Only three years earlier, the company had to recall a large chunk of their 2013 Avengers because a small chunk of vehicles produced – a grand total of 16 – were reportedly sold with damaged fuel tank control valves.

Comparing Dodge Avenger Auto Insurance
Have you ever heard about the importance of location? Well, a good location is an essential part of many industries, and the car insurance industry is no exception.
You see, a great many of the variables which determine your monthly premium are calculated based on exactly where you live. State laws can make certain insurance companies, as well as policy options, more expensive than others.
Even the city where you live – depending on things like property values, rates of theft, rush hour traffic, and more – could potentially make your insurance a lot more expensive.
The first thing you need to do in order to get a lower monthly payment is to find out what local rates are near you, and compare them to what you’re paying now.
Of course, you’re not going to get an accurate snapshot of local rates in your area by getting a quote from only one company. You’re going to have to compare multiple quotes, which means talking to multiple insurance agencies.
On top of that, you’re probably going to have to give out a lot of personal information which can feel as invasive as it is complicated to collect.
Doing all of these things on your own is extremely time-consuming and stressful. So it’s understandable why most people give up and accept the best price they can find after only consulting two or three different providers.
Have you had to file any insurance claims for your Dodge Avenger since you started driving it? If so, how expensive were those claims?
Because the more claims you had to file, and the more expensive they were, the more difficult it’s going to be to shop around for a cheaper price for your coverage.
Of course, if you’re one of the lucky few motorists out there who has not had to file insurance claims in the past few years, then congratulations. You’re most likely eligible for some pretty lucrative discounts from many different providers out there.
But for those drivers who have had to file claims, make sure you have plenty of documentation and context to present to a potential insurance agency. A good, detailed sit down with an agent in a clear explanation of claims filed can help reduce the number of excess charges they would otherwise apply to your policy.
At this point, you maybe a little bit frustrated to find out that big, important factors about your life which are impossible to change, or difficult to change with haste – like where you live, your claims history, or whether or not you can choose to avoid driving in rush-hour traffic – basically determine your rate for you.
But there is one important step you can make, today, that will make a difference. You can compare car insurance quotes with us.
We will be more than happy to connect you with quick, accurate rates that reflect real prices offered by providers in your zip code. You can start saving money quicker than you can order a cup of coffee.
