Saturn Outlook: Insurance Costs
One of the simplest ways to cut your insurance costs is simply by doing your research before sticking with an insurance company. Keep in mind that not all of them will give you the same rates, and not all of them will have the same discounts. You will want to visit several insurance companies and get quotes from at least 3 of them so that you can compare and contrast.
Have you considered dropping existing levels of coverage? You may want to review your current insurance policy. Have you been accident-free for the last couple of years? Consider raising the deductible on your collision and comprehensive. Why? I’ll tell you.
Your deductible is supposed to protect you from up-front costs in the event of an accident. This is contingent upon being in an accident. If you raise the deductible, you will lower your insurance premiums on a monthly basis; it is a sure bet. Please be advised, however, that you will be responsible for more up-front costs in the event that you are in an accident.
Saturn Outlook: Safety Ratings
The 2009 Outlook performs well with safety ratings. Remember that the safer the insurance companies perceives your car to be, the more savings that will be passed along to you.
It has been named a Top Safety Pick by the IIHS, which is no small feat. Cars can only be recognized in this fashion, if they receive the top score of “good” on all of their crash tests. Meanwhile, the federal government has given the Outlook 5/5 stars for all seating rows in front and side impact crash tests.
