BMW 2 Series Car Insurance
When you’re driving around in a luxury car such as a BMW, you know that you’re also going to be required to purchase a luxury car insurance policy to go with it.
It goes without saying that your premiums will probably higher than they would be for a Honda Accord or a Toyota Corolla, but there are ways to make sure you can pay less than the average BMW driver for your coverage. If you’re curious to learn more, just keep reading.
A Brief History of BMW 2 Series
The BMW 2 Series has been around since 2014, starting with the Coupe, the convertible, and the Active Tourer body styles. As recently as 2015, they have also added the Grand Tourer to the 2 Series lineup.
Interestingly, the sedan-sized models in the 2 Series fleet are constructed with different mechanics, such as the front-wheel drive platform. The Tourer body styles are technically classified as MPVs (multi-purpose vehicles) as opposed to technically qualifying as an SUV.
BMW 2 Series in the News
BMW has put great effort into giving the new 2018 Tourer models and aesthetically pleasing facelift. There are several cosmetic improvements, such as a wider grille, a new ring design to accommodate the new LED headlight options, and a broader air intake system.
The rear valance is also been redesigned, with a twin tailpipe setup and the option to choose between 16″ or 19″ alloy wheels.
Comparing BMW 2 Series Auto Insurance
Where you live is a very important factor that determines how much you have to pay for your BMW 2 Series auto insurance.
Unfortunately, it is also one of the things that you have the least control over – especially if you’re a homeowner or have any other significant attachment to the zip code in which you live.
Luckily, some areas are cheaper to drive around in than others. This is especially true if your city has a low rate of accidents, a moderate population, and a very low crime rate.

Compare Quotes From Top Companies and Save

It is incredibly rare to find two insurance companies that will charge you the same rate. Some companies offer discounts that others do not.
Still other insurers may offer similar discounts compared to their competition, but they may offer a larger discount than you will find anywhere else.
But the bottom line is that they are all competing for your business. And by comparing quotes against different companies, you can help negotiate a better price for your policy.
Speaking of discounts, you’re going to want to ask your insurance agent as many questions as you can regarding the discounts you are eligible for.
Common discounts include good credit discounts, good student discounts, a clean driving record discount, bundling discounts for multiple policies from the same company, and even a discount for owning your own home.
Then again, there are less well-known discounts, such as low mileage discounts, discounts for military service, and even discounts for having achieved a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a major university.
It might require a little detective work on your part, but finding as many relevant discounts as you can is a great way to save.
Most of the things you can do to lower your car insurance rate will either take a while – such as cleaning up your driver record or improving your credit score – or require huge life changes, like moving to a different zip code or completely changing your career path.
Luckily, there are quick and simple ways to get better deals on auto insurance, too. And you can do it right now.
All you have to do is use our handy quote generator to compare multiple quotes from many different local insurance agencies in a matter of minutes.
