A-MAX auto insurance (or AMAX auto insurance), not AAA MAX auto insurance, is a local, Texas auto insurance company. It’s only been around since 2002, but the A-MAX car insurance company has grown so fast in the past 14 years that it now owns and operates over 100 different offices in 17 cities across the state of Texas.

A-MAX also sells other financial products in addition to automotive insurance and offers helpful financial services to its customers. The A-MAX insurance claims process seems straightforward. Learn more in our expert A-MAX Insurance review.

A-MAX Insurance Reviews

The ratings on A-MAX are a little bit mixed. For starters, the company doesn’t seem to have been rated by the financial rating agency A.M. Best. This doesn’t necessarily mean anything negative, since they’re a smaller Texas-based business and not a large, multi-state firm.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) gave A-MAX an A- rating as recently as 2016.

However, on independent review websites such as Yelp and GlassDoor (where former employees can rate the company they worked for), it did not receive many positive reviews, so there are A-MAX Insurance complaints to consider. And on Glassdoor, there are several A-MAX Insurance employee reviews.

The company’s homepage, however, proudly displays dozens of positive testimonials from happy customers. So, overall, A-MAX auto insurance customer reviews are varied.

A-MAX Auto Insurance Options

Like many other insurance companies, A-MAX offers its clients the basic forms of coverage options every driver needs to drive legally in Texas, plus some useful extras:

  • Liability Insurance
  • Comprehensive and Collision Insurance
  • Personal Injury Protection Insurance (PIP)
  • Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Protection

  • Rental Reimbursement
  • Towing and AMAX Roadside Assistance Coverage

As you can see, there is A-MAX full coverage insurance available. But A-MAX doesn’t stop at auto insurance. The company also offers homeowners, commercial vehicles, recreational vehicles, and renters insurance.

Drivers who lose their driving privileges and are required to file for SR-22 insurance can also get help with this process from A-MAX, along with surety bonds for proof of vehicle ownership and any notary public services they may require.

If you call an A-MAX agent, you can ask about A-MAX home insurance, or, if you own a business, you can ask about A-MAX commercial insurance.

Comparing A-MAX Auto Insurance Quotes

Drivers can get a fast, free AMAX insurance online quote from the A-MAX website. But before you accept what seems like a good deal, be sure to compare A-MAX (and A-MAX auto insurance rates) to other companies operating within the state of Texas, such as:

Texas Average Monthly Auto Insurance Rates Legend: Average Driver Texas Farm Bureau State Farm Mercury Encompass 21st Century State Average 15 30 45 60 75 90 105 120 135 150 165 180 $69 $83 $95 $101 $180 $106

Now keep in mind that these rates are based on your average driver in their 30s who is married, owns their own home, and drives a sedan. The vehicle you drive can alter these estimated numbers, as well as your credit score, being required to file SR-22 insurance, and more.

For comparison, we’ve provided a chart with the cheapest insurance companies in Texas.
