Chrysler Sebring Car Insurance
Many of the Chrysler Sebring vehicles on the road today are starting to show their age, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t good, solid, reliable vehicles. And you deserve a fair rate on good, solid, reliable coverage for such a vehicle. Unfortunately, the way the insurance market operates day, it can be extremely difficult to know whether or not you are paying a decent price. Luckily, we have the expertise to help you find an insurance policy which fits nicely into your budget.
A Brief History of the Chrysler Sebring
The Chrysler Sebring had a good, strong, 15-year run. The first generation started selling in 1995, offering consumers the choice of either a coupe or a convertible body style. This trend continued through the second generation, increasing convertible and sedan customization options to 5 different trim levels. The Chrysler Sebring Coupe, on the other hand, was only available in four different trims; Chrysler would not produce the coupe body style with the GTC, the Touring, or the TSi trim. The coupe body style was dropped for generation three, and although the third generation sedan debuted in 2006, its convertible sister-model was not released until 2008. Chrysler Sebring sales were strong in 2007 and 2008, but there was a huge drop in 2009 from over 71,000 units to 27,000 units. Even though sales started to pick back up in 2010, it wasn’t enough to save the Chrysler Sebring from the chopping block.
Chrysler Sebring in the News
The first generation models of the Chrysler Sebring received resoundingly high safety marks across the board. The second generation of vehicles, though, was not so lucky. Between 2001 and 2006, the Sebrings produced earned somewhere between “acceptable” and “poor” safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Even after Chrysler made changes to the safety features available on those models, they refused to submit to future IIHS safety tests. Luckily for late adopters of the Chrysler Sebring, the redesigned 2010 models earned an overall score of “good” from the IIHS before the model was finally put out to pasture.
Comparing Chrysler Sebring Auto Insurance
The first step in trying to find a good rate is figuring out what sort of rate you should be paying. This process begins with finding out the average insurance prices for drivers in your state. Are you above the national average, or below? And is your monthly rates reasonably close to what you should be paying compared to other drivers near you, or is it considerably higher? We believe that the chart below can give you some insight, especially if you live in any of the states listed here.
The next step is to find an insurance company who wants to offer you a fair price. Many insurance companies only care about one thing: profit. And while this is also true for the more benevolent coverage providers out there, the superior businesses in their industry care just as much about motorist safety and customer satisfaction. Finding an insurance provider who shares your same values and also wants to sell you economically priced coverage is a difficult balancing act, but it is not impossible.
Speaking of motorist safety, when was your last accident? What about your last traffic violation? If you don’t have any of these on your recent driving record, then congratulations! If you’re not already paying a dirt cheap price for your quality Chrysler Sebring car insurance coverage, we may be able to help you to find it today. But if the past three to five years of your driving history isn’t perfect, don’t sweat it. With enough time, those transgressions will magically disappear and you will once again have the clean driving record which can get you safe driver discounts on your policy.
Being patient, staying vigilant behind the wheel, and looking into average local insurance prices is a good start – but you can do more.
