A Brief History of the Chrysler Crossfire
Not to be confused with the 90’s board game of the same name, the Chrysler Crossfire was a rear-wheel-drive sports car sold between the model years of 2004 – 2008. It was actually the result of German manufacturing and based on the Mercedes-Benz R170 platform.
Total sales of the Crossfire exceeded 76,000 units during its four-year run, which included models such as the Roadster, the SRT 6, and the Limited Coupe.
Although Chrysler originally had a five-year production contract with German car manufacturer Karmann, the inability to hit an annual sales goal of 20,000 units for the 2006, 2007, and 2008 model years sealed the fate of this short-lived sports car.
Chrysler Crossfire in the News
The name Crossfire was not chosen by accident, nor was it randomly drawn out of a hat (or from any other source). It was symbolic of corporate restructuring which was happened in the automotive industry at the time; more than anything, it was meant to represent the collaboration of Chrysler and Daimler-Benz.
The latter had recently acquired the former in a recent corporate merger before the development, production, and sales of the Crossfire began.
Automotive Experts praised the transition from concept car in 2001 to the production version in 2004 as one of the “most faithful translations from concept to production Andresen Automotive History”.
Comparing Chrysler Crossfire Auto Insurance
Do you live in a state with strict insurance regulation laws? Or are the public policies in your area a little bit more business-friendly?
Depending on shifting priorities and legislation, the state you live in could make it easier or more difficult for you to find affordable auto insurance prices.
And it isn’t just about what state you live in, either. Your county and even your specific city may have different rules in place that make it harder for you to find the affordable coverage that you deserve.

Of course, the insurance company you pick will also play a factor and what you end up paying for coverage at the end of the day. Drivers who fall into a certain type of risk pool may be able to save more money with one provider over another.
Likewise, a small player in the insurance game desperate to get its feet wet may offer discounts and incentives to new customers that a major, more established provider would not.
This is why it’s so important to make sure you shop around as much as you can if you really want to get the best deal.
Okay, speed demon, moment of truth: how many speeding tickets do you have on your record?
Luckily for some people who have a fondness for the open road, insurance companies only take recent speeding tickets into account; if your violations are older than 5 years, they likely won’t affect the premiums you’re paying today.
But the more recently you got caught breaking the law, the more you’ll end up paying each month for your Chrysler Crossfire car insurance coverage.
Sure, you can wait patiently for any recent speeding citations or other driving violations to disappear from your record. You can even pick up and move to a different state if you think the auto insurance savings are worth it.
Or, you could save yourself a whole bunch of trouble and let us help you comparison shop right now.
